Brooksville Regional Hospitals. This position is a
PRN Clinical Dietitian with Morrison Management
Specialists providing medical nutrition therapy to acute care patients.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian in the state of Florida required
  • Minimum of one year hospital experience, preferred

Episcopal Children's Services (ECS) was established in 1966 and is now one of the largest non for profit
childcare agency in Northeast Florida. At ECS, we proactively work with children from birth to age 5 and
their families to build a strong educational foundation. We want them to be prepared to succeed in school
and life. It's a "whole" child approach -- we help kids grow intellectually, emotionally, physically and
socially. We've developed a custom coaching model and curriculum for children, families and teachers.
We offer a variety of programs that help raise the standard of care and education in the community.
Currently, we work with more than 25,000 children and families in eight counties in Northeast Florida.

We are hiring a Nutrition Specialist to oversee and administer all Nutrition responsibilities for Head Start,
Early Head Start and Early Learning Centers.

Major Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for ensuring compliance or reporting incidence of noncompliance with Head Start, Early
    Head Start and CACFP contracts.
  2. Provide direct communication with Food Service vendor & Department of Health
  3. Process and track the CCFP applications for assigned center each fiscal year.
  4. Complete day-to-day record keeping tasks required by the USDA.
  5. Monitor meals in Head Start/Early Head Start three times a year to ensure that they are meeting
    CACFP regulations and Head Start Performance Standards.
  6. Accurately process all nutrition paperwork and reports as required.
  7. Review menus for meal pattern accuracy.
  8. Implement policies and procedures which address the identification of children's nutritional needs,
    the design and implementation of nutritional services programs, meal service in center-based
    programs, family assistance with nutrition, and food safety and nutrition.
  9. Prepare and distribute nutrition materials for centers as needed.
  10. Support parents in obtaining appropriate food for children with allergies.
  11. Submit Purchase Orders for nutritional services provided to children with allergies.
  12. Develop nutrition education materials and educate parents, teachers and children in person on a
    regular basis (this could include food demos, meal planning on a budget, special needs diets, and
    fun child appropriate lessons).
  13. Review nutrition questionnaires in all HS/EHS files and determine need for follow-up.
  14. Consult and establish relationships with nutrition and medical providers. Secure contracts with the
    providers and other appropriate organizations to provide services to children and/or families.
  15. Provide on-going support and technical assistance to staff and families in areas of nutrition.
  16. All other duties as requested to maintain the success of ECS.

Successful candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Health or related field with one (1) to
three (3) years experience working with a nutrition program.
